Brooks was a portrait painter. Born Beatrice Romaine Goddard, Rome, Italy 1874. Died in Nice, France, Dec. 7, 1970. Adelyn Breeskin curated an exhibition of her work, held at the National Collection of Fine Arts Feb. 24 - Apr. 4, 1971, and at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Apr. 9 -May, 1971.
